Albackans Hunting & Fishing Lodge offers guests a year-round fishing experience. Our fishing areas consists of thirty waters, of which ten are home to Brown Trout, Rainbow Trout and Arctic Charr.
The best fly-fishing we offer is at Drogsjöforsen, or a selection of ten other rapids and riffles along our stretch of the Gimån River, which is renown for its large brown trout and grayling. Some of our lakes are reserved for the exclusive use of lodge guests. The following options are a selection of our fishing facilities. We recommended combining your choice of cabin and fishing waters to your preference.

Fishing in Gimån
Skravel-rapids - Gimån
Fish in the Skravel-rapids, Gimån. Stay in our cabin which is located 20 meters from the rapids and 600 metres from the main road. The cabin has four beds, a kitchen with gas plate stove and a fireplace. The cabin has an outhouse and no running water. A boat is available and is included in the cost of the cabin.
Båthälls-rapids - Gimån
Fish in the Båthälls-rapids, Gimån. Stay in our cabin that lies beautifully along Gimån’s beach. It is possible to drive right up to the cabin by car. The cabin has four beds, electric heaters, a fireplace, a small stove, oven and a fridge. The cabin has an outhouse and no running water.
Täckelsjö-rapids - Gimån
You could also choose to fish in the Täckelsjö-rapids along the Gimån River.
Drogsjö-rapid - Gimån
For the more experienced fisherman, we recommend fishing for trophy brown trout and large grayling in the Drogsjö-rapid on Gimån River. Booking gives you exclusive rights to the entire rapid.

Fishing in lakes and tarns
Lake Alan
The Alan lake provides exciting fishing for the entire family. The lake is 200 metres from the main lodge and accommodation area. Boats are available for rental for fishing trips for brown trout, pike and perch. In winter the lake offers ice fishing for pike and perch. The lake is 100 hectares in size and is a tributary of the Gimån River.
Pike lake
In summer we offer pike fishing from a boat in a lake devoted to pike fishing.
Fly-fishing tarn
The fly-fishing tarn offers rewarding fly-fishing from a boat for brown trout, arctic charr and rainbow trout. The lake is a few hectares in size and surrounded by forests.
